Eastern Sky Theatre Company is excited to be collaborating with Biola University Cinema Media Arts interns to produce a powerful new documentary on Singleness in the Church. This documentary will comparatively explore how the church community presents and responds to singleness versus marriage as well as how the church can best support singles in building value and community in the church.
Rachel Spillar, is a senior Cinema Media Arts student and aspiring cinematographer who is spearheading the documentary for her senior project. Biola Freshman, Connor Klebs, is working alongside her using his skills as a creative script writer, actor and budding director. ESTC President and Producer, Ariel Fernald, is the lead mentor and producer on the project.
Biola interns are receiving support from industry professionals like seasoned producers and actors, Corey Canon and Ryan T. Johnson (Vindication, Running the Bases, Shadow Creek); 40-year veteran director & programming manager, Isaac Hernandez, (TBN and Parables TV); award-winning film producer and director, Lisa Arnold (One Nation Under God, Caged No More, Camp Cool Kids, Bringing Back Christmas), accomplished stage and screenwriter, director, and producer, Trey Fernald; and top film editor, Bill Ebell (Lifemark, Overcomer, Courageous, Bringing Back Christmas).
